There are several opportunities to be involved in additional activities which are English based at Fleetwood High School. The current events include:

Residential theatre and education trips linked to Literature texts;
Local visits to The Grand Theatre;
Visits to living museums;
Visiting authors;
Theatre work shop days;
Competitions: poetry, stories and news articles;
KS3 reading groups (including dyslexia friendly texts, fiction, plays, poetry, non-fiction, and graphic novels);
KS4 reading groups (including dyslexia friendly texts, fiction, plays, non-fiction);
Reading for Pleasure lessons once a week throughout our three year Key Stage 3;
Film Club;
Debate Mate;
Revision sessions for targeted students;
Masterclasses ran by experienced examiners for the year 11 cohort
